Is The Black And Decker Vpx Drill/driver Any Good?

The Battery is only a part of the tool…I have looked at this new battery from B&D but the tool it’s self is still only good for occational use…I am a professional carpenter and use my tool constantly…I prefer DeWalt, which I know is owned by B&D, but the tools are made with different quality parts…A B&D cordless drill can be purchased of $40 to $60 or even a little more, and a DeWalt is many times that…I have used B&D tools and find they wear out too fast but as I stated I use them sometimes everyday for extended periods…What you have to concider is why you want the tool…If you just use it from time to time this is a good tool but as Tim Taylor would say “More Power” a professional grade tool is the best but as you know you pay for what you get…Hope this helps

    Black and Decker is a cheap throw away tool…Dewalt is made by black and decker….you figure it out….if you want a quality hand drill, you are going to have to pay more….but it will last. I have seen makita, bosch, and porter cable ,take some heavy abuse in the cabinet shops I have worked in…also have seen dewalts and lesser makes break…
    It all boils down to what you want to spend…none of the top names will disappoint….just stay away from B&D,crapsman, and dewhat??

    It’s not that good. It’s made in China and of poor quality, find something a little better like Rigid or Porter Cable.
