Does Black & Decker Makes Good Power Drills?
Posted by: akka in Black & Decker Drill FAQ, tags: Black, Decker, Does, Drills, Good, Makes, PowerUh, I bought a 24V B&D power drill at Target for $39, wondering if it’s worth the money.

Black & Decker is a good product. It does depend on the pupose you bought it for. For the typical homeowner or weekend warrior use, you’re fine. If you use it on a regular basis or require alot of torque for certain projects, you might want to consider something different. A drill/driver is like the next step up from a conventional cordless drill. Then you can go to a heavy duty or hammer drill. I have a couple of Black & Decker products that I keep for back-up tools, just in case or for light duty repairs. Happy Screwing!
For $39 I would say you did well, just don’t complain if the drill itself doesn’t last long!
A drill at that price is most likely for the homeuser who is doing light projects around the house. I definatley would not use it for heavy duty construction work as it most likely wouldn’t last three weeks.
If heavy duty construction work is what you are doing I would check into a few brands such as: Ridgid, Dewalt, Milwaukee and the like.
These drills are pricey at $100+ but some such as Ridgid will come with a lifetime warranty that if anything including the battery dies all you have to do is send it back to the manufacturer and they will replace it for free.
they are one of the better brands around. can’t go wrong!
Ordinary drill, nothing special; you can do better.
yes; it is good; i got many electrical things from black and Decker and they are all good:)
For home repair projects or a couple of deck projects.
You good.
If your going to use it on the job every day look for somthing else.
it is a good product, there are better, just dont horse a battery powered drill, you`ll killit easily
