easy, first give the chuck a liberal dose of WD40, leave for about an hour, place the chuck in a vice leaving the jaws and
keyhole free. Insert the handle of the chuck key into the hole
and wangle it about until independent movement is achieved,by this I mean the jaws and the round housing in which they live. Bung on another dose of WD and your away.
I have done this on numerous occasions on my old drill. Remember to keep the chuck well oiled. Hope this is of use
Makita a great choice mines a dewalt never any problem. Launched a few black and decker items before the last being a strimmer!! He He thought it was just me but doubtless not..
try run in opp direction for 5/ seconds then see
get a firm grip on the chuck (have a glove on) put it in reverse and slowly press the trigger in short bursts
“Black and Decker”…
Throw it away and buy a decent one, even if you free it up, it will happen again very soon. Mine locked up 5 times in 2 months before I launched it down the garden and brought a Makita.
